ABOUT DEREK:

    I am originally from Knoxvlle, TN.  When I was 14, I started showing an interest in photography and became an apprentice to a local commercial photographer. My passion for photography grew as I competed in mutliple contests through middle school and high school.  Placing first in the Tennessee statewide contest and fourth in the United States nationally, I then went to the Art Institute of Denver and Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale for more professional training. While attending college, I received several awards for my prints. When I was not at school, I was interning with over 20 photographers! While my major was fashion photography, I loved shooting Weddings and portraits! 
      I am very specific in the type of quality and detail that should be presented in a photograph. All our images are insured that they are of the highest quality as that is the way I was trained.   Weddings are a once in a lifetime experience and we have the right knowledge, equipment, and talent for any situation that can arise.  I was taught that it was not the camera that makes the photo, it is the photographer. I agree with that completely but also think that with today's technology and opportunities, every image can be perfect. 
    Portraits: Not only are we experts in the field of wedding photography but we also create gorgeous portraits! Whether you need Senior portraits, family, baby, alien, who knows, we always make a comfortable and professional atmosphere for all our portrait sessions.

ABOUT ANNA:

    My wife is the "organizer" of Wilson Photography.  She is also the photographic coordinator and second shooter. *Brides: ever wonder how the dress looks great in every shot or what happens behind the glitz and glamour of a wedding, Anna is there to help not only with photographs but also making sure everything happens as close to the timeline as possible. Her eye for detail is extremely sharp and she loves weddings!


 

ABOUT THE PHOTOVAN:
   We are modifying a Toyota Sienna into a photomachine! My wife said, "Honey, its a minivan", I SAY IT"S A PHOTOVAN!
